Court II Tribune Board of Directors Corner The Hampton Court II Condo 2006 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 11th. A “Call for Nominations” letter will be mailed out to residents by March 10th, 2006. Please get involved in your community by serving on the Board of Directors. There are two (2) positions this year to be filled. Get involved! Thank you. Serving On The Board & Volunteering If you think about it, volunteering is one of the highest forms of giving back to society. In today’s busy society, finding the time to help out with your community can be viewed as a “self-less” act of giving. Additionally, volunteering is a sure cure for apathy. Volunteering allows someone to actively participate in the processes that make a good community even better. Serving on the Board provides a great opportunity to get more involved in your condo association. Don’t be afraid of the commitment that is required, it’s not that much. There are about 5 meetings a year and Management will do most of the “grunt” work. The Board, however, will make all the decisions for the property. If you are interested in serving on the Board, please contact Richard Gemmell, the Community Manager at 301-620-0782 or richard.ag@pmpbiz.com for more information. Landscape Enhancement Plan As you have noticed, phase 1 of a multi-year landscape enhancement plan is under way. The first phase is turf enhancement in the open turf area behind building 6260. The plan is to get grass to grow in every inch of the large open area. We are trying to eliminate the sparse, patchy look of this area. (Sorry about the straw that has been blown everywhere.) ValleyCrest has cleaned this up once and will be cleaning it again soon. The next phase will be enhancement behind buildings 6200, 6210, and 6220. The phase(s) after that will include plant and tree enhancement and maybe even flowers. This is a very exciting series of plans that the Board of Directors and Management have developed. Hampton Court II is a lovely property and will soon look better than ever. For New & Current Owners and Residents A few friendly reminders to all owners and residents: Please be aware that sounds you make in your condo may be heard by others. Please be considerate of your neighbors when playing your stereo, surround sound systems and other electronic devices. The sound proofing in the condo’s is not the best, so be considerate when allowing children to play in your condo. Please pick up after your pets. This is a common sense item plus, it’s a rule of the community and a law with Frederick County. Owners of larger vehicles such as SUV’s and larger pick up trucks: please park on the opposite side of the parking lots, away from the fronts of the buildings. The larger vehicles tend to block part of the sidewalk which can cause a block in the public right of way for other residents. Park all vehicles between the lines on the parking lot. Not parking squarely between the lines tends to through off all of the parking spots. Pet Waste This is a continual reminder to all pet owners that you must pick up after your pet. Every year we seem to have an abundant amount of complaints in regards to this matter, along with pets being left out without a leash. Please help Management, your neighbors, and the environment by picking up after your pet and keeping them under control with a leash at all times. Outside Water Faucets With spring right around the corner, Management would like to remind residents of the policy regarding the outside water faucets. Use of outside water faucets is not authorized for personal homeowner use. Homeowners wishing to water patio plants and flowers, or to provide child’s play, must use their own metered water. The water from these outside faucets is charged to all homeowners; thus, is intended for the overall community use such as landscape watering (new shrubs and trees) or power washing of the building. Unauthorized use of outside faucets could result in a Board follow-up
