Hampton Happenings Next Hampton Court Condominium Board Meeting: July 15th , 7pm at the Visitor Center Vacant Board Position The Hampton Court Condominium Board of Directors has received an official resignation from John Olsen, Treasurer. The Treasurer position is currently vacant and the Board is seeking a replacement. As Treasurer, you will review the financial reports each quarter (or each month). Additionally, you will have direct input into the budget preparation process which will provide greater insight into the financial workings of your condo association. The Treasurer usually makes a brief presentation at the quarterly meetings to discuss the financial condition of the association. If you are interested in filling this important position, please contact Richard Gemmell at 301-620-0782. Thank you. SPRING CLEANING: Let’s hope that spring is finally here. With at least the coming of springtime weather, it’s a great time to consider doing some spring cleaning. It has become alarmingly clear, now that the snow and ice are all melted, that many pet owners have not been picking up after their pets. It is astounding how many pet owners take the lazy, irresponsible way out and just allow their pet(s) to defecate on the sidewalks, and in the grass and just walk away from it. I wonder how they would feel if someone let their dog poop on their patio or balcony? They would be very upset and would be the first to call management and want something done about it. Wouldn’t they? Well, letting your dog poop on common area grass is like letting your dog poop on 60 different people’s front yards. Remember this is a condo association and every owner owns one 60th of the common area. So when you see a pet owner letting their dog do it’s duty on the grass, and they don’t pick up after it, you should be upset. Don’t let those people get away with it. Say something to them, in a nice way, but for gosh sakes, don’t let them get away with it. I really think, some pet owners think that if no ones actually confronts them, then they aren’t guilty and have gotten away with it. So I say, politely confront them and remind them of the rules and common decency. PMP Holiday Hours The Visitor Center will be closed Monday, May 31st in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. PMP, Inc. and the Hampton Court Board of Director’s wish you a Happy and Safe Memorial Day weekend. Outside Water Faucets Be advised that the use of outside water faucets is not authorized for personal homeowner use. Homeowners wishing to water patio plants and flowers, or to provide child’s play, must use their own metered water. The water from these outside faucets is charged to all homeowners; thus, is intended for the overall community use such as landscape watering (new shrubs and trees) or power washing of the building. Unauthorized use of outside faucets could result in a Board follow-up. Pool Passes As you will recall,
2 year’s ago Spring Ridge went to a PERMANENT pool pass system.
Everyone must have a pass to enter the pool. Lost or misplaced permanent
passes will be replaced at a charge of $5 per pass. Guests can enter with
a resident and a guest pass. All owners or tenants received one guest
pass with ten free visits. Additional guest passes may be purchased from
PMP for $20/ 10 visits or $40/ 20 visits. Residents will not be reimbursed
for lost or stolen guest passes. See you at the pool. This is just a reminder about parking courtesy. We all get busy and sometimes forget to remember our neighbors. If you have multiple vehicles but you often only drive primarily one of them, please park your second vehicle in the peripheral areas away from the fronts of the buildings. As you are well aware, parking is at a premium because developers usually only provide the minimum parking spaces allowed by the county. Thank you. |
