Review Newsletter Board of Director’s Corner The bridge expansion and Quinn Road realignment is completed. Terra Firma Road was created for the new bridge. Terra Firma Road is scheduled to be opened for traffic on or about May 19th. The barriers at the end of Claridge Drive South will be removed approximately two (2) weeks later to allow access to Quinn Road. Be aware of the new traffic patterns created by this construction. The 2006 Pool Season will begin on Saturday, May 27th. The Board is pleased to announce that there will be a concession stand available at the pool serving food and beverages. The Board has been asked to grant a utility easement for a section of common ground adjacent to Route 144, to permit a sewer alignment for the development taking place on the north side of Route 144. The Summer Concert Series is back by popular demand, with local bands performing at the pool during the course of the summer. The schedule of performances will be listed in the Spring Ridge Calendar. Calendar of Events June 2 ~ Noon - SRES, OES, & Private School Kindergartner Meet & Greet at Spring Ridge Park Quinn Road/Terra Firma Road To Open!! Terra Firma Road (the relocated Quin Road alignment) will be open on or about Friday, May 19th. Approximately two (2) weeks after the relocation route opens, Claridge Drive South at Quinn Road will open for traffic after years of closure. This two week period will permit tie-in work at the intersection of Terra Firma Road and Quinn Road and allow drivers to become familiar with the new road patterns before additional traffic comes from the Spring Ridge Community. Guest Passes will no longer be mailed to residents nor will they be able to be obtained at the pool. Beginning this year, 2006, Residents will have to sign for their Guest Passes and pick them up in the Visitor Center. Each residence will still receive a Free Guest Pass for the first 10 visits to the pool, but as stated above, you will have to sign for it. The following is information that residents should be aware of before obtaining a Guest Pass: Only one (1) Free Guest Pass good for ten (10) visits will be distributed to residents. Only persons 18 years of age or older will be allowed to obtain/sign for a Guest Pass. If you use up your first 10 visits or lose your Guest Pass, you may purchase additional Guest Passes good for 10 visits each, at the amount of $20.00 per Guest Pass. You may also pay $2.50 for each Guest at the Pool Gate. A maximum of 8 guests per day is allowed. Management will verify that residents obtaining their Guest Pass actually live in Spring Ridge before allowing the residents to get a Pool Pass and sign for the Guest Pass. For New Owners: Please bring a copy of your settlement sheet as proof that you own property in Spring Ridge before obtaining a Pool Pass or Guest Pass. For Renters: You must have a letter addressed to the Spring Ridge Conservancy Board of Directors, from the owner of your unit, stating that they, the owner, relinquishes their pool privileges for the 2006 pool season to you, the renter. 2005's letter will not be accepted. The letter must list all renters living at the address, including children (with dates of birth). If you or the owner of your unit cannot provide the pool privilege relinquishment letter, you will not receive Pool Passes or the Pool Guest Pass. Residents may pick up 2006 Guest Passes in the Visitor Center. Visitor Center Hours Are Monday-Friday, 11am-5pm. GUEST PASSES CANNOT BE PICKED UP AT THE POOLS!! THANK YOU. Pool Committee News Hurray! WELCOME BACK CENTURY! Reminder - Search your home for your permanent pool passes (white card). If you lost them, you can get a duplicate at the Visitor Center for a charge of $5.00 each. Don’t forget to sign for and pick up your pool guest pass card at the Visitor Center during the week (Monday-Friday, 11am-5pm). Swimming Tests - Century Pools will keep index cards on file for every child under the age of 16 to ensure their safety at the pool. The information on the cards will tell whether or not the child passed the mandatory swim test. The two part test includes 1) Swimming the length of the lap pool and 2) Treading water for one minute. If the child passes the test, he/she will receive a bracelet which must be worn at all times at while at the pool. They will be considered “swimmers” and may swim anywhere they’d like, and may jump or dive off the diving board. Children who don’t pass the test can retake it as often as they like within reason. If a swimmer loses the bracelet, a replacement can be bought for 25 cents. All guests must use a guest pass or pay $2.50 at the gate each. Guests must be accompanied by a resident with a valid permanent pool pass (white card). The resident with the permanent pool pass is responsible for the action of their guest(s).
