• The Spring
Ridge Landscape committee is ready to begin meeting, thanks to those who

still valid, in fact these are your "lifetime" pool passes.
New residents will be contacted to have their pass made.
• Residents are reminded that the tennis courts are for tennis,
not bike riding, skate boarding etc.
• Finally, the bill for snow clearing this past winter was over
$70,00 truly, a year to remember.

June 14th at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. No experience is required
and all player levels are welcome; teams will be placed with other teams
of similar ability/experience. All proceeds go to the Jessica Murphy scholarship

or call Don, Sue or Brad Murphy at 301-607-1132.
Problems?
Complaints?
Residents at times may have problems or complaints with a neighbor and/or
their children. First and foremost, it is always recommended that you
try to resolve your differences between yourselves by being “neighborly”
and speaking directly with the person involved. If for some reason things
are not able to be resolved amongst yourselves and the complaint is a
violation to your Rules and Regulations, please put your complaint in
writing and drop it off at the Visitor Center or email Kelly at kelly.ab@pmpbiz.com.
YARD WASTE
There
has been a change in the yard waste collection procedures this year. Please
note that grass and other yard clippings will ONLY be picked up on Wednesday
and not on Mondays or Thursdays!
For Single family
and town homes:
Yard waste and grass clippings pickup will occur on Wednesdays starting
in April. Grass and other yard clippings can be placed in paper bags,
craft bags or loose in uncontaminated containers. The trash hauler cannot/will
not take grass/yard waste in plastic bags. No sod will be allowed. 4"
diameter branches may be bundled with cord and recycled as well as long
as the bundle does not exceed 4' in length.
All yard waste and
grass clippings will be recycled which helps our environment and saves
the association in landfill dumping fees. Should you have any questions,
contact the management office at 301-620-0782.

Spring Ridge
Elementary Damage
Management
has received a letter from the Spring Ridge Elementary School regarding
to damage to their playground equipment. SRES writes, “We do not
mind the children using the school property or the playground equipment
after-hours; however, we do ask that parents supervise their play. We
ask that parents of older children speak with them about respecting the
property of the school and using it appropriately.” Management hopes
that all Spring Ridge residents will comply with this simple request so
that there will not be any additional damage done to the school property.
Thank you.
Swim Team
News
The countdown continues toward, the kick-off of our 2003 season. Registration
will take place on May 18th from 4pm - 8pm at the Spring Ridge Visitor
Center. We look forward to welcoming back all of our “seasoned vets”,
as well as the new swimmers to the team.
Be sure to mark your
calendars for this important event. This is an opportunity for everyone
to meet the coaches, order swim suits and apparel and find out about all
of the new and exciting changes in our league. Our practice season begins
on May 27th at 6:30 p.m. with a mandatory Team/Parent meeting. No swimmer
may begin practicing without a paid /completed registration in place due
to insurance regulations. Refunds for swimmers may be requested on or
before June 12th for anyone deciding not to participate. A registration
packet will be provided and a schedule of practices, meets, special events,
as well as a rule handbook. Please remember to bring your swimmers medical
insurance information as well as physician and emergency contact numbers
for your file.
Last season the “Sharks”
swept our division and brought home the 1st place trophy for Division
II. This year we have moved back into Division I and have a good chance
of having another winning season.
We look forward to
seeing everyone at registration and will be available to answer any further
questions you may have, or you may contact me in advance at 301-524-2228.
See you May 18th!

Pool News
Pool Passes/
Pool Rules
Please
remember to bring your pool pass with you to the pool. Everyone must have
a pass to enter the pool. Enclosed in this newsletter is a copy of the
Pool Rules and Regulations and one guest pass for ten free visits. Please
be sure to share these rules with your children and pool guests. Guests
may enter with a resident and a guest pass. Additional guest passes may
be purchased from PMP for $20/ 10 visits or $40/ 20 visits. Residents
will not be reimbursed for lost or stolen guest passes.
Swim Lessons/Swim
Team
Swim
lessons will be offered again to all Spring Ridge residents. Please see
the flier in this newsletter for details. Last year, 193 children participated
in the instructor certified lessons. All interested swimmers are encouraged
to join our community swim team, the Sharks. The swim team is a recreational
activity designed to continue advancing a child’s stroke performance
and to teach children the value of team work.
Swim Tests
Just
a reminder that swim tests will be given to all children under the age
of 16. If your child passed the test last year, remind them to bring their
bracelets with them to the pool. If they can no longer find their bracelet,
they will need to see a lifeguard for a bracelet. The swim test consists
of swimming the length of the lap pool one time and treading water for
one minute. If you have any questions regarding the test, please see Andy
Potter, your pool manager. Any suggestions regarding the pool or pool
activities can be addressed to Kelly by dropping a note off at the Visitor
Center or by emailing kelly.ab@pmpbiz.com. We hope that everyone has a
safe and enjoyable pool season!
Party Rentals
Once
again, the pool is available for residents to host a pool party during
or after hours. The forms needed to host a party are available online
at www.springridgeonline.com or at the Visitor Center. All paper work
must be completed 2 weeks prior to the event. The rental agreement has
all of the details included but questions may be directed to Jonette Stupke
at 301-620-1462.

Lap Pool Usage & Etiquette
The
lap pool will have two (2) lap lanes in the pool throughout the swimming
season for anyone wanting to swim laps. This will include children as
well. If the main pool or the piano pool are closed for any reason, the
lanes will be pulled out of the pool and the pool will become a regular
swimming pool for all residents. This is to ensure the safety of everyone
visiting the pool. Please remember that more than one person can swim
laps in a lane. You can safely fit four people in a lane who are swimming
laps. If you do get into a lane with someone already there, please attempt
to make them aware of your presence.
