CONDO CONNECTION BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S CORNER Annual Meeting: April
22, 2004 - 7pm at the Visitor Center Now is your chance to be on the Board of Directors. Why? I can think of several good reasons. Here are just a few: i Because there are
2 openings Call Richard Gemmell
at 301-620-0782 for more details. Man, I am frustrated...let me tell you why. Let’s hope that spring is finally here. With at least the coming of springtime weather, it’s a great time to consider doing some spring cleaning. It has become alarmingly clear, now that the snow and ice are all melted, that many pet owners have not been picking up after their pets. It is astounding how many pet owners take the lazy, irresponsible way out and just allow their pet(s) to defecate on the sidewalks, and in the grass and just walk away from it. I wonder how they would feel if someone let their dog poop on their patio or balcony? They would be very upset and would be the first to call management and want something done about it. Wouldn’t they? Well, letting your dog poop on common area grass is like letting your dog poop on 164 different people’s front yards. Remember this is a condo association and every owner owns 164th of the common area. So when you see a pet owner letting their dog do it’s duty on the grass, and they don’t pick up after it, you should be upset. Don’t let those people get away with it. Say something to them, in a nice way, but for gosh sakes, don’t let them get away with it. I really think, some pet owners think that if no ones actually confronts them, then they aren’t guilty and have gotten away with it. So I say, politely confront them and remind them of the rules and common decency. PARKING LOT ISSUES Recently, Management
has been made aware of several issues concerning the parking lots. The
first is the lack of common courtesy when parking. Management would like
to remind residents that parking is first come first serve and to please
be courteous to other residents who park in the lots. The second issue
concerns parking between the tic marks. When parking, residents should
pull into the space and properly align their vehicle between the tic marks.
Please do not park your vehicles in between two spaces. If you have plans
to go away for an extended period of time this winter please remember
some of the following tips. 1) Leave your unit’s heat on at a moderate
setting. 2) Leave kitchen and bathroom sink cabinet doors open to allow
the heat to reach your pipes. You may also want to allow water to drip
from your faucet to allow water flow to continue. This reduces the risk
of your pipes freezing. 3) Provide a neighbor with a key in case emergency
access is needed to your unit. Thank you for your cooperation this winter
season. Recently management
became aware of some residents who speed while driving through Spring
Ridge. Management would like to remind residents that this is very dangerous
and also illegal. Residents should use caution while driving through the
entire community, but especially at cross walks and intersections. Anyone
who sees a speeding vehicle is requested to contact the Frederick County
Sheriff’s office at 301-694-1046 to report it. Thank you. Management would like to remind residents who have vehicles parked for a period of thirty (30) days or longer must be reported to management by calling 301-620-0782. Thank you for your cooperation. |
